Art Journaling 102: Vision for 2012 and Spotlight on Dina Wakely’s Blog
Happy 2012 friends and Tangie fans! Welcome to a New Year and a fresh theme for my Art Journaling articles here on the Studio Tangie blog. Last year we had a fantastic collaboration with the Studio Tangie Creative Team for Art Journaling 101. Many thanks goes to out to their talents for a successful 2011 on the blog.
We are progressing to Art Journaling 102 in the New Year, and a fresh theme as well, which we call “My Vision for 2012″. Each month we will have a different focus or sub-theme such as Health, Knowledge, Creativity, Family, Dreams, Abundance, etc. We will have journaling prompts geared toward this theme. This month in January for our sub-theme will be Health…so our pages will all relate to Our Vision for 2012: Health.
Also we will be rotating topics that have been hits such as Favorite Art Journal Blogs, Technique Feature, and introducing “I Don’t Have Anything to Journal About - Myth Busters Journal Prompts”. The Studio Tangie Creative Team will also be contributing to inspiration to these posts as well!
Our Favorite Art Journal Blogs Series
This week our spotlight turns to Dina Wakely! She has been published in Somerset Workshop, Somerset Art Journaling, Somerset Apprentice, Somerset Studio, Somerset Life, and Somerset Memories. She will be teaching online classes soon on her own site and also teaches in Glendale, AZ (information on her blog).
Dina’s work features her simple background paintings on watercolor paper with bright colors, spray inks, and texture. One signature touch is a silhouette figure with journaling written on it, or shapes such as hearts and stars.
We love these pages at http://dinastamps.typepad.com/ponderings/2011/10/teaching-a-color-wow-mini-at-lb-crafts.html
Thus we challenge you to: Create a page with splatters. Relate it to the theme for January “My Vision for 2012: Health”

My Vision for 2012: Health in January is to get moving, stretch, do yoga, exercise, etc. Most importantly right now I need to stretch, and go to physical therapy.

Yay!!! So good to hear. xoxo
Fell in love with her journaling and stamps at Stampington. Bought one of her stamps with a girl standing with writing on her for my art journaling. Love the heart with writing and all her others. Nice article, as usual. Thanks.
loving it:)
