Highlights of Week 18

Ahhhh we’re finally getting some nice weather here in the Pacific Northwest and just in time, it’s Mother’s Day today in the USA.  To all of the Mothers out there, near and far, Happy Mother’s Day.

The Art Journal Caravan is chugging right along.  Our fearless leader has been providing some amazing things to ponder and be inspired by.  Are you ready to get inspired to?  As always, this is just a very small sample of what the folks in the Art Journal Caravan are creating.  Take a moment to stop by the Art Journal Caravan Gallery and see all of the beautiful pieces available for perusing.

I have to say, I was completely wooed by this page.  I love everything about it!

Shattered Dreams by dianepsmith
I thought this was so emotional.  The shattered glass  and the absence of description felt chilling.

Isn’t this gorgeous?  I love all the different colors and how the mix and match so well.  I thought that adding the artist’s hand to the photo was a wonderful idea.

Isn’t that moon fabulous?  I love how it’s setting the whole scene.

Subway art always grabs my attention and this definitely has a subway art feel.  Cool!

Life is like a circus by mimisgirl
Life IS like a circus most days, isn’t it?  I really like the feel of this one, the shadows on the circus crew are spot on!

Thanks for joining me for another week of highlights.  Don’t forget to check in next Sunday for more great inspiration.  Until then… I’ll see ya on the trail.
