Affirmation Desktop Freebie

Tangie had a brilliant idea (as usual).  Being among the most generous people I know, Tangie wanted to offer up a gift to her blog readers, something special that you could look at every day and be inspired by it.  It has been an idea in the making and now I bring it to you for your enjoyment.  Each week I’ll be posting a new desktop freebie hand made by one of the very talented people on Tangie’s CT (this includes the amazing VIP Tour Takers as well).  So, without further ado, I hope you enjoy this week’s desktop, created by Katherine Malm (Tinkerbell57)

I have a special bonus for you this week.  Katherine surprised me with an additional goodie for you coffee/tea drinkers out there.  It’s a matching insert for your Starbucks Tumbler!  How cool is that?  Katherine says to make sure you have the bottom screwed on tight before you put your mug in the dishwasher so your new insert doesn’t get ruined. (thanks Katherine)  Here’s a little preview:

I hope you enjoy these super fun freebies.  See you back here next Tuesday.

Paint, stencils, grunge, what more could a girl want?  Beautiful.

AJC Highlights of Week 28

Guess what day it is? C’mon, I know you want to. Well, it’s NOT Humpday…
Have you seen that Geico commercial? It makes me LOL every single time I see it. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, I know you can hear me…. LOL

Anyway, enough of THAT silliness. It’s actually Sunday and I have some super rockin’ pages to share with you.

Here are my picks for week 27:

Tears of Rage by Nevermore
I love how she always finds a creative outlet to use to work out her emotions.  This page is very moving.

What I’ve Been Doing … by Artgirl
I think that this is such a great way to memorialize a project that was so special.  I’m sad to hear it’s ended.

AJC13_28_Free by snowdropz
That image is such an icon in American history.  I LOVE how she’s used here.  Nicely collaged page.

Port of Call – America by Billizetti
Bill is making my hear sing here…

Free to Dream by CarolW

AJC Highlights of Week 27

Hey folks, Carolyn here with another week of highlights.  Running late today, had a full day and just now getting the opportunity to get this out to you.  I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend and got your craft on!  I’m off work for the next 3 weeks, so I know what I’ll be doing…

Here are my picks for week 27:

AJC13_22_Transcend by snowdropz
There is so much wonderfullness going on here I don’t even know where to start!

Post Card from the Past by jonee
Totally diggin’ all the pretty colors and the texture here.  I want to run my fingers over it.

Week 20 by thimbleberrie
Isn’t that beach beauty adorable?  I love how she’s the focus of the page with the arrow pointing her out.

No. 26: Will You Catch Me? by kygirl
I’m blown away!  This page is so stunning.  I LOVE the colors, the collage, that fairy is so sweet I just want to hug her!

Sing America the Beautiful by Grace
This one makes me goosey.  I’m very patriotic so this one touched me from the gallery.  Then at a closer look I was awed by it.  I love how the verses from the song blend into the background.

AJC13 Week 27 – Actions Speak Louder Than Words by Zuzu
Another beautiful patriotic page.  It has such a wonderfully nostalgic feel.

America by BamBoo07
And one more Americana page.  I thought the background and edging on this one was very clever.  Nicely done.

Thanks for joining me for another week of highlights.  Don’t forget to check in next Sunday for more great inspiration.  Until then… I’ll see ya on the trail.

AJC Highlights of Week 26

Yahooo!!!  It’s the half way week.  Each year I get so excited about hitting the half way point and this year I’m even more excited than ever.  Each year it seems like more and more people really stick with it and get creative in their art journals every week.  It’s so inspiring to so so much activity and so many pages that are still so unique.  I have a great selection for you this week.  I hope you enjoy.

Here are my picks for week 26:

Vibrant by Lime
I like all the paint and patterns here.  Such a fantastic, expressive page.

Respect Me by CarolW
WOW!!!  This is a very powerful page.  There is so much going on here (and I’m guessing probably even some stuff that we can’t see).  I’m flabbergasted!

love-attained by Jenacious
Isn’t this a fun whimsical page?  That lady in her spring loaded frame is a hoot!

Catch Souls by msmauk
AMAZING page!!  I’m a sucker for letters/fonts/alphas and the font work here blew me away!

Pastiche by sbpoet
This page jumped right out at me.  I like the strips of different designs.  It’s so unique.

Happy 4th! by anniesmom
I adore this page.  I’m such a patriotic sap!  That little girl with all her red white and blue just gets me all goosey.

Thanks for joining me for another week of highlights.  Don’t forget to check in next Sunday for more great inspiration.  Until then… I’ll see ya on the trail.
