What continent do you live on?
- North America, in a wonderful corner of the mountains of WV along the Ohio River

What was your favorite subject in school?
Math, in fact I have a teaching degree in Math. It was like working logic puzzles.

Do you have any animals? What kind?
- I’ve had many dogs and cats over the years but my DH has developed allergies to them so we’ve chosen not to have any at this time. I tell my husband that the day he dies, I’m getting a cat. :D

When you are scrapping, what are the sounds around you?
- I like to scrap in the silence. If I want background music, I use the Symphonic channel on DirecTV

Do you dance like crazy, when no one is looking?
- Yes. I love to dance and it has been the biggest challenge of married life since he doesn’t. lol

What would subject or material would you like to see in a kit from Tangie?
- I saw “dripped paint” in a mixed-media article once and would like to work with it as a digital element. This technique applies paint at one edge of a page and then lets it drip down in lines. I thing they would be wonderful for text.

What do you sing in the shower, if you do sing (we know you do!)?
- Afraid I’m old school, I sing old show tunes, hymns, or songs from my youth.

Do you buy cookies or things from kids that knock on your door? -
Always, of course, but the kids don’t come around much any more.

What do you think when you hear rain start outside?
- Now that I’m retired, I relax. Rain means a lazy day at home.

Where is your dream vacation?
- Ireland, we went there once and it felt like home.

VIP Tour #7 Interview with Joy

These special passes allow guests get all new products for one low price, a very special guest appearance here on our blog and sneak peeks of what is going on behind the scenes at Studio Tangie! 1. Name (any story behind your name)?
I was suppose to be named Catherine Jean after a relative, but my cousin Cathy was born before me (thank goodness! I just don’t see myself as a Cathy). My parents had to scramble to come up with a name. Being it was the middle of December they were inspired to call me “Joy”.

2. What was your favorite subject in school?
I loved History.  My senior year of high school I even took a freshman Western Civ class that wasn’t offered at my previous high school.

3. Do you have any animals? What kind?
We have a German Shepherd puppy not quite two years that creates lots of excitement in our house, an older mixed breed that is deaf and will turn her head so she can’t see you when it’s time to come in from a morning run and the ruler of us all, Ashley the Cat.

4. Do you buy cookies or things from kids that knock on your door?
I do!  We are a scout family and know what its like to have to do fundraisers.

5. What is your favorite book of all time, and why? “Yargo” by Jacqueline Susann.  Its an unusual love story that tells of a woman who discovers that though she thinks herself an average person, she is unique and necessary to the dynamic of the universe.

6. Where is your dream vacation?
Anywhere there are white sands, blue-green water, 2 beach chairs and an umbrella.

7. Which is your favorite genre of movies ? (Comedy/ Romance/Suspense/Action/Horror)
I love all kinds of movies except slasher flicks.   I like to listen to movies while I’m working so they have to have interesting dialogue, I love clever dialogue.

8. Which is your favorite time of the day, are you a morning person or a night person?
I love the dawn hour.  Waking up in the dark and slowly watching the world reveal itself as the sun rises.  Plus it is one of the few times it is quiet in our home.

9. What is your idea of fun?
If given a choice to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day?
In my craft room :), it’s my happy place.

10. If given a complete freedom to start afresh, what profession would you choose and why?
I would love to be a teacher and help to inspire children to follow their dreams.

Thank you so much Joy, it’s so wonderful to have you with us on VIP Tour #7!

VIP Tour #7 Interview with Rain K

Every few months I do VIP Tours of the backstage of  “Studio Tangie”. These special passes allow guests get all new products for one low price, a very special guest appearance here on our blog and sneak peeks of what is going on behind the scenes at Studio Tangie! Make sure you join the newsletter for info on when the next tour will be available.

(Love the way she sent me the answers to the questions…like a story!)

My full name at birth was Mary Elizabeth Rain Olympia Christine Crowe….whew! I was the last child and got both grandmother’s names, the Irish/Scottish half and the Italian half. I shortened it all up after graduating from chiropractic school to Rain Olympia Crowe, then married Gary almost 20 years ago now and became a Klepper. My father was 52 when I was born, and called me “punkin” my entire life, eventually student doctor punkin, then Dr. Punkin. He died when I was in my early 20′s, I’m 54 now, so I cherish all my memories of him, and do have a deep affection for pumpkins!

I live in a teeny town in western Colorado, the “western slope” of the Rocky Mtns. We bought this 14 acres with a 110 year old mess of a house back in 2002, spent almost a year remodeling and building, and have been happily here since. I am an avid organic gardener, and produce the majority of our vegetables for the entire year in the warmer months. Our neighbors trade and sell the rest, fruits of all kinds, including 17 varieties of heirloom apples, meat, poultry, and sheep’s milk. I became a cheesemaker a few years ago and have conquered both soft and hard cheeses with sheep dairy, as I am horribly allergic to cow’s milk since birth. Gary and I practice together, both chiropractors and naturopaths for more than 30 years, he is also an acupuncturist and cranial osteopath. We work with very ill folks, supporting patients going through cancer and autoimmune treatments, as well as complicated neurological disorders. I have been a textile artist for many years, spinning, knitting, weaving, quilting, surface design, embroidery and then 6 years ago began to seriously enjoy painting and art and design, as relief from dealing with illness. Probably also the reason I have glorious flower gardens.  I am brand new to digital art, and the blog pages and journal anthology gallery pages are my first art journal adventures digitally.

Animals: two very beloved Shiba Inu dogs, 9 and 15 yrs. old. 3 parrots, a yellow naped Amazon, a red lored Amazon, both 29 years old, and a 30 year old African grey with a 360 word vocabulary. Outside, we have made this land a wildlife sanctuary, last winter I counted 42 different species of birds at our feeders. Now we have 25-30 hummingbirds daily as cheap rural entertainment! Plus nesting pair of eagles, many hawks, wild turkeys, bobcats, garden snakes, bull snakes, and this year, about a thousand grasshoppers.

My favorite book, this is a hard one, as I am a reader. Pride and Prejudice…I re-read it every year, and have visited Jane Austen’s home in Bath, and in Winchester. I have held a pen and touched her handwritten notes from Persuasion in a behind-the-scenes tour at the British library in London. Sigh. On the same trip, I held Elizabeth I’s common book of prayer with a cover that she embroidered herself. I was weak-kneed and giddy for about a year after that. Why is it my favorite? Probably the hilarious and acidic characterization Jane Austen wrote in all her books. Darcy. Elizabeth Bennett. Oh sigh. Love your kit by the way!

When I hear rain outside, all I can think is, “mushrooms!”. We love to hunt edible porcini, chanterelles, boletes, hawkwings, and hedgehogs here. We built a lab and grow room last summer and are growing lots of oysters and lion’s manes, and shiitake.

I love to sing opera in the shower, or bluegrass tunes.

To spend a day playing hooky from work…painting, photographing, making rubbings of tree bark, getting lost in a bookstore, tea with a friend. Baking beautiful French breads or hamburger buns.  Playing mandolin. Sewing something new to wear.

I dance with abandon even if they are looking.

I also wear violet and red violet and red orange, even if I’m not in my 80′s.

I love to experience foreign places, though I don’t enjoy air travel much these days, and yes, I buy things from kids, just can’t help myself.

I would love to see you make a kit with tree bark textures, rust, embroidery over entire papers, velvet, shells and coral patterns, antique kitchen items, fruits and vegetables. Musical instruments, like harp, mandolin, guitar. Architectural elements. Art tools, pens, paints, etc. Textured anything. New Mexican santos, milagros, or other folk art objects. Medieval tiles. Anything Da Vinci. tassels, kumihimo braids, quilt blocks. Japanese crest patterns. Orchids, bonsai. Book of Kells.

and she sent a photo of her Studio too!

Thank you so much Rain, it’s an absolute pleasure to have you with us on VIP Tour #7!

VIP Tour #7 Interview with Tina

Every few months I do VIP Tours of the backstage of  “Studio Tangie”. These special passes allow guests get all new products for one low price, a very special guest appearance here on our blog and sneak peeks of what is going on behind the scenes at Studio Tangie! Make sure you join the newsletter for info on when the next tour will be available.

Name (any story behind your name)?
I’m not sure there’s a huge story behind my name in the classical sense but My Mother was going to name me Windy (Yes with an I eeek) and while it might even be cute for some people to be named Windy my last name was Melendy and that would of been horrid! Thankfully they heard the Perry Como song called “Tina Marie” and they changed my name at the last minute. (Oh thank the heavens above for the radio!)

What continent do you live on?
North America

Do you have any animals? What kind?
Yes we have 2 dogs a Doberman named Scarlett who is scared of her shadow and just about everything else that moves. And a Belgium Malanois named Chance that we just got last night (The jury’s still out on him)

Tell us about your favorite teacher in school:
My 5th grade teacher Mr. Epic was my favorite teacher. He read the Chronicles of Narnia to us throughout the whole year. And as a reward for different things we could earn the entire set. I worked really hard and got the whole boxed set. I learned so much that year and really developed a love for reading!
Do you dance like crazy, when no one is looking? Of course I do :) and sometimes I might even dance like crazy when people are looking…..all depends on the people.

What subject or material would you like to see in a kit from Tangie?
I would love to see more 8.5X11 sized papers in your kits so I don’t have to crop off parts of the 12X12 papers!
Do you buy cookies or things from kids that knock on your door? I have in the past, but we have made it a policy to not purchase anything from anyone. The items are either something we can’t eat, shouldn’t eat or they never seem to be delivered. So it’s best to just say no!

What is your favorite book of all time, and why?
The Monster at the End of this Book Starring Loveable Furry Old Grover. Mainly Because it’s just FUN, But also because all of my children loved having me read it to them. (Some still do even)

Where is your dream vacation?
Paris France

Which is your favorite genre of movies ? (Comedy/ Romance/Suspense/Action/Horror)
I really like Action and Suspense movies!

We’re glad you weren’t too shy to do this interview with us Tina! Love having you on the VIP Tour!

VIP Tour #7 Interview with Carol

Every few months I do VIP Tours of the backstage of  “Studio Tangie”. These special passes allow guests get all new products for one low price, a very special guest appearance here on our blog and sneak peeks of what is going on behind the scenes at Studio Tangie! Make sure you join the newsletter for info on when the next tour will be available.

Name (any story behind your name)?
My mother wanted to name me Melissa or Samantha, but my father told her he would call me Mel or Sam. So she chose Carol Anne because my initials would allow me to be given the nickname “Cammie”. I was grateful that the nickname only lasted with my grandmother, and, being a female in the South, it was acceptable for me to use my “double name” in school to avoid being the dreadfully dull “Carol”. I use my full name – Carol Miller Franklin – professionally both to honor my family since I was one of three girls born to an only son, and because there are LOTS of Carol Franklins out there (you should see the emails I get when people assume that the one they know has one of my addresses <VBG>).

Where is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation is a cottage on a secluded beach. Being near the water always calms and settles me. I love making sand castles, looking for shells and floating with the waves.

Which is your favorite time of the day, are you a morning person or a night person?
I am most definitely a morning person. I often wake in the wee hours of the morning. when I enjoy the silence and feeling as if I’m getting ahead of the day.

If given a choice to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day?
I love days spent with artist friends when we experiment with new inks or rubber stamps or die cuts – anything goes. I also love parties when we play card games, like Spades or Canasta or Killer Bunnies. If I were by myself, I’d take a photo walk to discover things I normally overlook

If given a complete freedom to start afresh, what profession would you choose and why?
I would find a way to work with the Henson studios creating Muppets or with Pixar.

How old are you in your dreams?
In my dreams I am usually about 30 – a time when I was the mother of a young child and life was full of discovery and imagination every day.

Which is your favorite genre of movies ? (Comedy/ Romance/Suspense/Action/Horror)
I’m a sucker for a good romantic comedy or classic film. I love lots of different genres and have seen many movies over and over again. My go-to when I need a good cry? What Dreams May Come. I sob every single time. I’ve always loved musicals (I studied voice in college), especially the classic Rogers and Hammerstein plays and movies like Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, 1776, and Wicked.

Tell us about your favorite teacher in school:
I loved school and had many wonderful teachers. The one that has meant the most to me was a college professor who showed me how to believe in myself and have the courage to take a stand for what I wanted in life instead of what was expected of me.

What was your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject was music. I started piano when I was five, and majored in voice in college. Some of my most wonderful moments were in rehearsal or performance when there was magic in the sound that just enveloped me.

What is your favorite book of all time, and why?
Daniel Pinkwater’s The Big Orange Splot, because I wish I had the courage to be like Mr. Plumbean and make my surroundings look like all my dreams.

It was so great getting to know you better Carol! Thank you for joining us on the VIP Tour #7!

VIP-Interview with Carolyn

You may have seen her work at Scrapbook Graphics under the screen name rajns, today you will meet her as Carolyn one of the ladies on the VIP tour of Tangie’s team! These ladies are taken behind the scenes to the craziness and banter of the Creative Team forum and see the releases before they hit the store.  It is an exciting time, and as we get to know and love them, you should get a glimpse of their lives also.

First off, the ladies are given a whole bunch of questions and they can answer as many as they want, or just a few to help us learn about them. Here are a few of the questions that Carolyn answered, and she said she did this on small amounts of sleep (must be that addicting art journaling habit keeping her awake), so all incoherent answers are from her and I did not change them! hee hee

1. Do you have any animals? What kind?
Our shih tzu  lhasa apso mix, Chewie (Chewbacca Voldemort), who has taught me lots about life!    He turned out to be a self-fulfilling prophecy and he chewed on everything!  Next dog we are naming Obi.  Not short for Obi Wan Kenobi, but obedient!
2. When you are scrapping, what are the sounds around you?
Ipod tunes or terrible tv shows.  The shows I enjoy usually don’t win awards and often only last one season.  I love the noise of tv shows, especially if I have already seen them because I don’t really watch them, I listen.  They are just background noise.  For some reason I love the sounds of certain voices.
3. Do you dance like crazy, when no one is looking?
Yes, at it looks like I am having a seizure while riding a merry-go-round.  Remember Elaine’s dancing episode on Seinfeld?
4. What would subject or material would you like to see in a kit from Tangie?
Architectural!  I love old buildings, castles, ancient ruins.
5. What do you sing in the shower, if you do sing (we know you do!)?
I only sing 1-2 lines of a song and mumble the rest because I am terrible at remembering lyrics -except for one song, “One Tin Soldier”.  Why that one? Learned it at camp and it hasn’t ever left me…
6. Do you buy cookies or things from kids that knock on your door?
Of course!  I love that the Boy Scouts now have the option to buy a thing of popcorn to be sent to a soldier serving over seas.  I get to help the Boy Scouts, a soldier, and I don’t have to sweat the calories!
7. Where is your dream vacation?
Any place with really old rocks in the shape of something(that’s how my family describes the vacations I’ve dragged them on….) I love ancient history.  The first time I saw ancient Greek ruins I lost my breath.  The part that is really my dream is the instant travel part!  I do not do well with the transatlantic flights and I am a bit of a princess to travel with so to be able to see Nero’s Golden House in the afternoon and be in my own bed at night is my dream!
8. Can we get a snap shot of at where you create?
My happy place! See below.

9. If given a complete freedom to start afresh, what profession would you choose and why?

I can’t answer that one yet but give me time.  I just left my job to do just that!

My family tried to help me come up with fun facts for the ATC – here the ones that didn’t make it to the final ATC
I own the MacGuyver box set and I actually watch it.
My husband and I once renewed our vows with an Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas.
I tried to get my Beatles obsessed daughter to skip school for a DAY to fly to Arizona to see Paul McCartney.  She said no – she didn’t want to miss school.

Thanks!
Carolyn
Oh I am in love with that studio! I mean I told Carolyn, I was in jaw dropping awe of it! I create out of a milk crate at this moment, and her studio is a joy to see! I have  included one of Carolyn (aka rajns) pages, so you can see her work on the Art Journal Caravan:
Her chosen word Trust, and I trust you have enjoyed this little interview and come back next Sunday to meet another of the lovely VIPs!
~never lose your joy

VIP-Interview with Irene

Today we get to visit with one of the VIP guest on the Tangie Baxter team.  The VIPs are here for a few months and get to play and laugh and make things with Tangie’s fun and exciting designs.  Todays, VIP guest is Scrappie Irene.
What continent do you live on?
I live in the Netherlands, Europe. But I would love to live in Italy.
Do you have any animals? What kind?
We don’t have animals, but our neighbor’s cat is visiting us everyday and he sleeps at our home every night.
When you are scrapping, what are the sounds around you?
Only the sound of the television downstairs, or the talking of my husband when he is sitting next to me on one of our other computers.
What would subject or material would you like to see in a kit from Tangie?
I love all her kits, her style is amazing, so I don’t know… I don’t miss anything in her kits.
What do you sing in the shower, if you do sing (we know you do!)?
First of all, I prefer the bath and let’s say I scrap better than I sing. So no singing from me in the bathroom.
What is your favorite book of all time, and why?
All the Harry Potter books. Why? Because everything is possible in those books.
What do you think when you hear rain start outside?
Let’s stay inside and scrap! Or when I have to go to work: Oh no, I have to wear my rain cloths on my bike!
Where is your dream vacation?
No doubt: Italy    I’m half Italian and I love to visit my family there and there is a lot more to discover for me!
Which is your favorite genre of movies ? (Comedy/ Romance/Suspense/Action/Horror)

I like a mix of romantic action movies. I really enjoyed the new movie The Tourist, but I also like the Harry Potter movies and the good old Grease.
If given a complete freedom to start afresh, what profession would you choose and why?
I would have done a study DTP and would have had a more creative job in stead of bookkeeping what I do now. I started giving digital scrapbooking lessons last year, it’s fun to teach others something creative.

Irene is a very prolific scrapper, she seems to always have a new page ready and up in the gallery.  I watched her last year on the Art Journal Caravan with pure determination, finish the whole Caravan.  That took some fortitude.  I can’t imagine how she does what she does, but her page she did about stretching time must take place in her world.
We welcome Irene for her stay as a VIP, and hope you all enjoy her work too!

The Fifi – there is no other like her.

Her name is Ferryl Kathleen Suzanne Fisher Simonian, aka Fifi and various other deviations of said nickname.  Here is her story:

Anyway, I can tell you two stories about my name and nickname.  My mother named me Ferryl when she heard that name in the hospital when I was born, but I have always delighted in the fact that Ferryl is a homonym for “feral,” a word that means “wild thing” in the dictionary.  Oh, and my husband’s middle name means “fire eyes” in Armenian, which quite amuses me as well!  As for my user name and nickname, Fifi, it comes from a stint in high school where Multi Impaired students were allowed to call me Fifi on Fridays.  We all got a big kick out of it!

What was your favorite subject in school?
English, from Day 1 all the way thru high school until college.  I’ve always been a word queen.  My Junior year English teacher called me verbose!   Then came college and French…stop the world…I became a Francophile!

When you are scrapping what are the sounds around you?
The sounds around me, wow, that could vary wildly!  It depends where I’m scrapping, upstairs or downstairs.  If I’m on the floor level in the Family room and Raffe’s around I hear the record player going (yes, a real live old fashioned 33 1/3 disque record player!) as well as the TV blasting sports or whatever, but sometimes I’m lucky and there’s only one.  If family is around for dinner there’s lots of noise and I have to stop scrapping and actually do dinner, darn them!  If I’m Vincent sitting, I fit a little in while he’s mesmerized by some goofy cartoon show.  I’m a night owl, so there could even be dead silence!

What is your favorite book of all time, and why?
I have always loved Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.  It’s just so delicious, all the elegance and wonderful conversations and comebacks among the characters, you do remember, word queen here!  And, it’s a romance with a happy ending.  In tandem with that the original move starring Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier is a fave too, and Keira Knightly does a fine job in the new version.  Anyway, love it, but wouldn’t want to live then.

Where is your dream vacation?
I love Asian things so I would love to go to China while I can still get around, and Hong Kong.  Would love to see Australia too.  I’ve been lucky to have gone to Japan many years ago, DH has a good record friend who lives in a suburb of Tokyo and sometimes visits here.

Which is your favorite genre of movies?
I like any movie that doesn’t require a lot of concentration, like give me something with a happy ending, make me laugh, there’s enough sadness in the world, I prefer not to see it on the big screen too!

How old are you in your dreams?

Funnily enough I did a page on this.  I like to think of myself as Forever 42, right in the middle of my life with the kids growing up, still fairly young, no terrible crises to deal with, just happily alive. (Of course the sad part is that I was no where near being a scrapper yet!)

What is your favorite layout that you have done with your VIP goodies from Studio Tangie!

Too hard to pick one favorite, but I do love the one with Kira using the She kit

and the one about me using Ink, then and now.  I also love doing the grandkids, especially with the recent goodies!

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?
I suppose I should because I am totally uncoordinated when it comes to dancing.  I have always envied people with a good sense of rhythm and style.  Love watching them, no way I can do it myself!  (which is why I love Dancing with the Stars, I admire anyone who can try and puts themselves out there like that!)

Fifi is like a drop of happiness that once released takes the powerful winds of others and touches each person.  I, personally have watched her thru the Art Journal Caravan, and seen her lay her beating heart onto almost every layout.  The trials and tribulations along with the joys and jubilation come thru time and time again.
During the Spring, Scrapbook Graphics (SBG) had a wild and wooly competetion in the chat room.  It was like a game of no other, inpired and created by the one and only hostess Kate. (hey this is about Fifi).  The essence of the challenge was each regular chatter joined up with either a designer or crew CT member from SBG.   This is when I came to know and just love the Fifsters!!  Every week her take on the challenges would put a giggle in everyone! This is by far my favorite she did with Kate:
The left is Fifi’s and you have to know Fifi is a lover of all things French!!

this contest had winners and no losers!! We all won, because the friendship with Fifi was a prize to be cherished.
I close with Fifi and her layout Free to Me!

Sleuth on the OldVWBlues……oh wait to you read this!!!!

I tend to lose myself in these interviews, reading the comments on each ladies pages, looking at pages from long ago to present.  I get nosy and bop around the digiworld and try to learn about these amazing VIPs that have come into Tangie Land and made a wonderful impression.
Today, I have an intriguing little fact about our Vicki aka oldvwblues, that will stun and amaze not only you, but Vicki also!! I ask you to hold on to your excitement of this tidbit until the end of the riveting dialogue about the one, the only, oldvwblues.
How often do you go over the speed limit?
pretty often, but not by much

What was your worst dating experience?  mmm…it’s been so long ago and actually it’s probably better left untold!

How old are you in your dreams?
ageless!

Do you still (or did you ever) paper scrap?
never was a paper scrapper

Do you consider yourself a traveler? Where have you traveled?
wanna be traveler..but this year I did go on a cruise to Alaska and Victoria BC.  Spent a few days in Seattle!  Loved every minute..took tons of photos..and I thank my wonderful daughter to took me on this adventure!

What is your favorite LO you have ever done for Studio Tangie?
skinny-collage or Far From Shore..can’t decide
What do you do when (you think) no one is looking?
eat chocolate

If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island, which 5 books, movies, people and foods would you take along?
all of the Twilight books,  3 books on Art Journaling that I have, ..that’s more than 5..movies..Field of Dreams, Never Ending Story, Twilight New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn…people, my husband who just happens to be my best friend..my grandchildren Kyndal and Gavin and my sister Tina who is the most positive person I know and since I can’t choose between my kids, a total stranger..food would be cheese, chocolate, peanut butter, bread, jelly
If you could go on a road trip with any person (dead or alive) who would you go with and where would you go?
I would go to Sweden with my grandfather.  He immigrated here at 17 and it would be so cool to meet his family over there.  It’s sad to know we have family across the ocean that we will never know.

What is your favorite kit from Studio Tangie, will you show us your LO using that kit? after giving it much thought…once again I cannot choose just one..but I will choose all the Art Journal Caravan parcels. If I must choose just one, it would be parcel 40 and Far From Shore or Parcel 23  A Good Read

How did you get started and how long have you been digiscrapping?
been digiscrapping for about 3 1/2 years.  I saw a magazine and started looking on the internet to learn more about it, got hooked!
What did you get in trouble for the most when you were a kid?
talking all the time
What is your favorite thing about digital scrapbooking?
no mess…endless possibilities..can re-use products over and over!

What were the three happiest moments in your life so far?
birth of my children, seeing them all graduate from college..the birth of my grandchildren.  I could write a paragraph about why I am proud of my kids, but since that’s not one of the questions, I will hush.

Did you have a nickname in middle school or high school?
no…always just Vicki

Which is your wish that is not yet fulfilled?
to be skinny

What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?
bike

If you have to choose a movie title for your life story, what would that be?
Surviving Life in a Dysfunctional Family (not my present family..but when I was growing up) My present title would be Depression..Dealing with it!
How many languages do you speak?
just one, English

If you had to change your name (first or last or both) what would you change it to?
Maybe change my first name to Victoria since a lot of people assume that Vicki is a nickname…and get rid of the middle name all together..what could sound more southern than Vicki Sue!!
I love these answers!  I try to imagine them with a bit of a southern accent to them, that has a musical lift in them. I went through Vicki’s gallery, for over an hour, and put a lot in my favorites.  I would love to show you them all, but then I would be inserting pics and it makes the blog go wonky.  So, I picked out some that were favorites of mine and others that the comments just made my heart soar.
The Art Journal Caravan has really brought Vicki and her work to the limelight.  She chose Calm as her word for the year, and this layout is hilarious and still haunting at the same time:

These next layout, oh my, if you don’t all go ouch, I need a new occupation, Before the Internet:

Okay, I know you are all wondering what tidbit? Well, I think Vicki and I may have been separated at birth?  You see I am old, my first car was a VW and we share the same birthday??? Kinda gives you goose pimples?  No? Golly, I thought it was beyond cool!!  We are digital twins?
So, enjoy your day, and come back next Monday when we find out everything about the Fifsters!
